These Referral & Store Credit Terms explain how referral rewards and store credit work for group-buy campaigns organised by Sama Sama.
These Terms should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Replacement / DOA Policy, Collection & Delivery Policy, and Privacy Policy / PDPA Notice.
By participating in our referral programme, sharing a referral link, using store credit, joining a group-buy, or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Our Referral Programme
Sama Sama may offer referral rewards from time to time as part of selected group-buy campaigns.
The purpose of our referral programme is to reward customers for introducing genuine buyers to our group-buy campaigns.
Our referral programme is based only on completed purchases. We do not reward customers for simply getting others to sign up, join a mailing list, create an account, or share a link.
2. Campaign-Specific Referral Rewards
Referral rewards are campaign-specific.
This means the amount, type, eligibility, and conditions of referral rewards may vary from one campaign to another.
The applicable referral reward for each campaign will be stated on the relevant campaign page, product page, order form, or official campaign communication.
Examples of campaign-specific referral rewards may include:
- A fixed amount of store credit per successful referral;
- A campaign-specific store credit amount;
- A special product credit;
- Any other reward stated for that campaign.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, referral rewards are issued as store credit only.
3. How Store Credit Is Earned
A referral reward is only earned when a referred buyer completes a valid purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, a valid purchase requires the referred buyer to:
- Use the correct referral link or referral code;
- Place a valid order;
- Pay the required deposit;
- Complete full payment of the remaining balance;
- Not cancel, refund, reverse, or dispute the order; and
- Meet any other campaign-specific requirements stated by Sama Sama.
Referral rewards are not earned when a referred person only signs up, clicks a link, submits interest, joins a mailing list, or pays a deposit without completing full payment.
4. When Store Credit Is Issued
Store credit will only be issued after the referred buyer has completed full payment for the relevant purchase.
Store credit may not be issued immediately. We may require time to verify the referral, payment status, customer details, and campaign eligibility.
If the referred buyer’s order is cancelled, refunded, reversed, disputed, flagged as fraudulent, or otherwise invalidated, no store credit will be issued.
If store credit has already been issued for an order that is later cancelled, refunded, reversed, disputed, or found to be invalid, Sama Sama may withdraw, reverse, or deduct the store credit.
5. Use of Store Credit
Store credit may be used to offset the final amount payable for future purchases with Sama Sama.
Unless otherwise stated:
- Store credit may be used only on future product purchases;
- Store credit may be applied only against the remaining balance or final amount payable;
- Store credit may not be used to pay deposits;
- Store credit may not be used to pay delivery fees;
- Store credit may not be used for cash refunds, cash withdrawals, or cash exchanges;
- Store credit may not be applied retrospectively to completed purchases.
Store credit can only be used in accordance with the campaign rules and instructions provided by Sama Sama.
6. Store Credit Cannot Be Used for Deposits
Store credit cannot be used to pay deposits for active group-buy campaigns unless we expressly state otherwise.
Deposits must be paid through the official payment methods provided by Sama Sama.
This is because deposits are used to confirm genuine purchase intent and support procurement planning.
7. Store Credit Cannot Be Used for Delivery Fees
Store credit cannot be used to offset delivery fees unless we expressly state otherwise.
Delivery fees are separate from product prices and may be paid to logistics or delivery partners.
8. Store Credit Expiry
Unless otherwise stated, store credit expires 6 months from the date it is issued.
Expired store credit cannot be used, reinstated, refunded, exchanged for cash, or extended unless approved by Sama Sama at our discretion.
Customers are responsible for using their store credit before the expiry date.
9. Store Credit Is Non-Transferable
Store credit is non-transferable.
Store credit is tied to the customer account, mobile number, email address, or order identity recorded by Sama Sama.
You may not sell, transfer, assign, gift, exchange, or otherwise give your store credit to another person unless expressly approved by Sama Sama in writing.
10. Store Credit Is Not Cash
Store credit has no cash value.
Store credit cannot be:
- Exchanged for cash;
- Withdrawn as cash;
- Refunded as cash;
- Transferred to a bank account;
- Converted into PayNow, bank transfer, or other payment method;
- Used outside Sama Sama.
Store credit is only a promotional or customer reward credit for eligible future purchases with Sama Sama.
11. Stacking Store Credit
Customers may be allowed to use multiple store credits together, subject to campaign-specific limits.
Unless otherwise stated, Sama Sama may cap the amount of store credit that can be used for any order.
For example, a campaign may state that store credit can only offset up to a certain dollar amount or percentage of the final product price.
The applicable cap will be stated in the relevant campaign terms or communicated before purchase where applicable.
If no cap is stated, Sama Sama may determine a reasonable cap before store credit is applied.
12. Referral Tracking
Referral tracking may be based on referral links, referral codes, customer records, payment records, order forms, cookies, or other tracking methods used by Sama Sama.
To qualify for referral rewards, customers should ensure that referred buyers use the correct referral link or referral code at the time of ordering.
We may not be able to manually apply referral rewards if:
- The referred buyer did not use the correct referral link or code;
- The referral information was incomplete;
- The order was placed through another channel;
- Multiple referrers claim the same referred buyer;
- The referral cannot be reasonably verified.
Where there is a dispute over referral attribution, Sama Sama may make the final decision based on our records.
13. Single-Level Referrals Only
Our referral programme is single-level only.
This means:
- You may earn store credit only when someone you directly referred completes a valid purchase.
- You will not earn rewards from further referrals made by people you referred.
- There are no downstream rewards.
- There are no multi-level commissions.
- There are no “upline” or “downline” earnings.
- There are no rewards for building a referral team or network.
Referral rewards are tied only to genuine completed purchases.
14. No Reward for Sign-Ups Only
Referral rewards are not awarded for sign-ups only.
A referred person must complete a valid purchase and full payment before any referral reward is issued.
This means no store credit will be awarded for:
- Link clicks;
- Account creation;
- Mailing list sign-ups;
- WhatsApp enquiries;
- Product interest forms;
- Deposit-only orders that are not completed;
- Cancelled orders;
- Refunded orders;
- Reversed payments;
- Fraudulent or suspicious orders.
15. Anti-Abuse Rules
We take referral abuse seriously.
You must not misuse, manipulate, or abuse the referral programme.
Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Self-referrals;
- Creating fake accounts;
- Using duplicate accounts;
- Referring household members or related accounts in a misleading way;
- Using false names, false contact details, or false payment details;
- Coordinated manipulation of referral rewards;
- Sharing referral links through spam, misleading claims, or unauthorised advertising;
- Impersonating Sama Sama;
- Making false claims about the product, campaign, pricing, rewards, delivery, or refund policy;
- Using bots, scripts, automation, or technical manipulation;
- Attempting to claim rewards for cancelled, refunded, reversed, disputed, or invalid orders;
- Any conduct that Sama Sama reasonably considers abusive, fraudulent, misleading, or unfair.
If we suspect abuse, we may suspend, withhold, reverse, cancel, or deduct store credit without prior notice.
We may also cancel orders, block participation in future campaigns, or take further action where appropriate.
16. False or Misleading Promotion
Customers who share referral links must not make false, exaggerated, or misleading claims about Sama Sama, our products, our pricing, our delivery timelines, our refund policy, our replacement policy, or our referral rewards.
You should not claim that a product has features, certifications, warranties, guarantees, or benefits unless these have been officially stated by Sama Sama.
You should not create the impression that you are an employee, agent, official representative, distributor, or authorised spokesperson of Sama Sama unless we have expressly authorised this in writing.
17. Referral Reward Adjustments
Sama Sama may adjust, correct, reverse, or cancel referral rewards if:
- A technical error occurs;
- A referral was wrongly attributed;
- A referred order is cancelled or refunded;
- A payment is reversed or disputed;
- Fraud or abuse is suspected;
- Campaign rules were not followed;
- Store credit was issued by mistake;
- The customer is found to have breached these Terms.
We may make reasonable corrections to ensure the referral programme remains fair and accurate.
18. Store Credit Records
We may maintain records of store credit earned, used, expired, cancelled, or reversed.
Customers may contact us to check their store credit balance, subject to verification of identity.
Our records will generally be treated as final unless there is a clear error.
19. No Guarantee of Referral Programme Availability
Referral rewards and store credit campaigns may be introduced, changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
Not all group-buy campaigns will include referral rewards.
The availability of referral rewards for one campaign does not guarantee that referral rewards will be available for future campaigns.
20. Personal Data and Referral Information
Participation in the referral programme may involve the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data, including referral activity, customer identity, order details, and store credit records.
Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy / PDPA Notice.
By participating in the referral programme, you acknowledge that we may process referral-related personal data for the purposes of tracking referrals, verifying eligibility, issuing store credit, preventing fraud, and managing customer rewards.

The version that applies to a referral campaign will generally be the version published or provided at the time the relevant referral activity occurred, unless changes are required by law, are necessary to prevent abuse, or are clearly beneficial to customers.
